War Story: Bazel Meets Testwell CTC++

At NDC TechTown in Norway, a team took on the challenge of marrying Bazel’s blazing-fast, cache-friendly build system with Testwell CTC++’s heavy-hitting code coverage tools (the latter being notoriously unruly when it comes to reproducibility). They wrestled Bazel’s sandbox into submission, reverse-engineered CTC++’s intermediate outputs for deterministic builds, and even dove into some playful ELF hacking to keep everything cacheable and correct.

The result? A smooth integration that lets automotive developers get the best of both worlds: Bazel’s rock-solid caching and Testwell’s thorough coverage reports—no more build-system hair-pulling.
