Hussein Nasser: We now know why the DNS failed

AWS’s DNS went belly-up on October 19, 2025, knocking services offline for over 24 hours. After a 10-day wait, AWS revealed the outage stemmed from a misconfigured DynamoDB DNS record that cascaded into EC2 and Network Load Balancer failures.
