From AWS Comfort to GCP Unknown (and Back!)

They’d built a rock-solid microservices platform on AWS—Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Postgres, Kafka, Linkerd, Prometheus, Fluentd—the works. Moving it to GCP should’ve been trivial, right? Spoiler: it wasn’t. They hit every “why isn’t this identical?” roadblock you can imagine, from storage classes and networking quirks to data-replication hiccups and monitoring/logging inconsistencies.
