Josh Long’s workshop is a whirlwind tour of everything Spring—starting from core component magic and Spring Boot basics, then jetting off into batch jobs, security, data access, modular architectures, microservices, messaging and even AI integrations. Expect a hands-on romp through developer tooling (JavaFormat, IDE tricks, env vars, SDKMAN), bean wiring, JdbcClient/ORMs, plus client-side goodies like RestTemplate, GraphQL and gRPC.

On the architecture front you’ll explore Spring Modulith for modularity, centralized config, API gateways, service discovery, event-driven patterns with Spring Integration—and lock it all down with form login, passkeys, one-time tokens and OAuth via the Spring Authorization Server. It’s basically your one-stop “Spring in every flavor” fest, squeezed into a day or two.
